Contemporary

Contemporary class offers a holistic approach to dance, welcoming dancers at all levels (some movement or dance experience is encouraged). The session begins with a warm-up inspired by yoga and Pilates, focusing on grounding, flexibility, and strength. Improvisational exercises encourage dancers to connect deeply with their bodies and explore their unique movement language. The class culminates in a choreography segment where dancers can apply the skills and emotions developed throughout the session. Contemporary is about more than movement—it’s about storytelling, connection, and discovering your authentic artistic voice.

Improv

This class is all about creativity and personal expression, and it’s open to dancers of all levels (some dance experience is helpful). We start with a warm-up to get both your body and mind ready, often pulling from things like yoga or Pilates to build strength and flexibility. From there, we dive into exercises and prompts that help you explore your own unique movement style, reacting to the music, space, and others around you. Sometimes we’ll even include a simple combo that mixes in improvisation to keep things fresh and collaborative. This class is a judgment-free zone where you can take risks, express yourself, and connect with your inner artist.

Lyrical

This class is all about combining technique with emotion, giving dancers a chance to really connect with their movement. It’s open to beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels (some dance experience is helpful, but accommodations can be made). We’ll start with a warm-up to build strength, flexibility, and alignment, sometimes using exercises inspired by yoga or Pilates. Depending on the day, we’ll dive into improv or work across the floor to sharpen technique and tap into the emotional side of dance. We’ll finish with a choreography segment, where you can take everything you’ve learned and bring it into a lyrical combo that’s all about storytelling and self-expression.

Jazz

This dynamic and structured class caters to beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, with accommodations available for varying skill sets (a movement or dance background is encouraged). The class builds progressively, starting with a technical warm-up to develop strength, endurance, and flexibility. Across-the-floor exercises, including turns and jumps, provide the foundation for choreography and enhance technique. Depending on the class’s focus, we may explore improvisation to connect with our inner artistry or dive into a performance-ready combination. Jazz class is designed to empower dancers, blending technical precision with expressive storytelling.
